The new Océ Arizona model features Variodrop technology

Canon has unveiled its Océ Arizona 6100 series flat-bed for the first time world-wide at FESPA Digital 2014.

The six-colour 6160 XTS and seven-colour 6170 XTS 2.5 x 3.05m tables feature split vacuum zones, allowing two separate jobs to be prepared while the machine is in operation. The machines also feature a single operating position for loading and off-loading, as well as pneumatic pin registration for easier media placement.

The 6100 series outputs at 2.5 times faster than previous Arizona models, producing up to 24 boards per hour, and can handle media up to 50mm thick, making it suitable for multi-layer and pre-cut graphics.

"Delivering high speed without compromising on print quality, the Océ Arizona 6100 Series features new capabilities designed to ensure it is the most productive, most reliable and easiest to use Arizona printer ever," claims Yuichi Miyano, director of the wide-format group at Canon Europe.

"For a new group of customers who require high-volume rigid media printing capacity, it delivers award-winning print quality with the broad application range of a true flat-bed architecture, enabling them to push the boundaries of their service offerings."
