Fuchs Lubricants’ new van, featuring their stunning new Silkolene cycling branding was seen by an audience of some 2.5million people, when the vehicle took part in the Yorkshire stages of the Tour de France.

The vehicle wrap, fitted by Cipher Graphics of Stoke, was printed onto 3M IJ180Cv3 wrapping film, using an HP latex printer.

Cipher has been producing exhibition and display graphics for Fuchs for a number of years and saw the move into vehicle graphics as a natural extension of their business.

“We could see that the demand for vehicle wraps is growing, but we’ve always held the opinion that if we can’t do something properly, we’d rather not do it at all,” explains Cipher Director Jon Sherwood. “I’ve seen too many examples of graphics popping out of recesses, where either the wrong film has been used or the graphics have been poorly fitted.”

3M IJ180Cv3 is a short to long term removable digital printing film. It offers great conformability and can be applied in extreme hot and cold temperatures, so that workshop temperature is less critical. It is suitable for vehicle wraps, vehicle livery and advertising wraps and offers 10 years durability.
