Following its opening earlier this year, the MTex Technologies demonstration centre in Leicestershire has welcomed two additions, the MTex 1800 and 5032Pro, to its range of direct-to-textile printing equipment.

The 1.8m 1800 incorporates a two-litre bulk ink facility and prints at 48sq m per hour, while the 5032Pro, at 3.2m, is available with an electro-pneumatic feeding system upgrade, allowing for an easier process and wider applications.

The company now awaits the arrival of another cohort of machines in the coming months. "The 1800 and the 5032Pro will be followed by the MTex TurboSub and MTex 500C for fashion fabrics later in the year," explains Stewart Bell, managing director of MTex Technologies Ltd, the manufacturer's UK arm. "The MTex Pad, steamer and [washer and drier] are also being prepared for shipment to the UK so companies with a need for pre-coating fabrics, steaming and post-print washing and drying will be able to put them through their paces.

"It is our aim to help sign and display makers, interior designers and fashion houses to harness the power of digital using our equipment, and bolster the strong and lasting heritage of textile printing in the UK," he adds.
