On September 24th and 25th 2014, Canon printing equipment will join Zünd's cutting systems in St Albans to showcase how businesses can use the two brands together to create high-quality signage, displays and posters.

Zünd will demonstrate its S3 digital cutter: a compact, modular cutting table with automated material handling for substrates up to a maximum thickness of 25mm (1")。 With a maintenance-free drive and the highest safety standard compliance, the S3 offers fast, precise production with minimal operator effort.

The S3's sibling, the Zünd G3 digital cutter, automates all cutting and trimming functions on materials up to 50mm (2"), with a wide range of options for sizes, tools and modules to grow with each user's needs.

In addition, Zünd will be previewing the latest versions of its PackZ and Prepare-it software, which will both be released in October. With simple-to-use tools, the Prepare-it workflow makes print and cut applications easy, efficient and with minimal wastage, while PackZ is a complete packaging and POS design solution – ideal for display producers looking to diversify into other markets.

For the Open House, Canon will combine Zünd cutting kit with the Océ ColorWave 650 poster printer, designed to boost productivity and turnaround times for posters, and the Océ Arizona UV-curable flatbed printer. Able to print onto almost every surface, the Arizona opens up new revenue streams for print houses with little operator intervention.

"The Océ Arizona gives print houses the opportunity to explore their imagination in terms of applications and materials, making Zünd G3 and S3 cutting systems a perfect fit – they bring that imagination to life with finished products," says Peter Giddings, Sales Director, Zünd UK.

"The two-day Open House with Canon will be a chance to see the equipment in action but also to see applications up close, ask experts questions and to catch up with others in the industry. It's sure to be a great event."
